mustard pot this silver mustard pot was made in Birmingham (UK) by silversmith CW in 1901.
It has straight sided octagonal shape, blue-glass liner, stepped rim, crest and coronet on the hinged lid with a shell shaped thumb piece.
This mustard pot is an Edwardian production of a model in use since 18th century. You may see an example in the last photo below, where is illustrated a quite similar mustard pot made by Robert Hennel in 1792.
The mustard pot is 2 in. high (cm. 5) and was bought from an Italian dealer at a Flea Market.
