silver cigarette case - Japan

Japan silver cigarette case this is a silver cigarette case engraved with a landascape with Japan's highest mountain (Mt. Fuji), bridge with ornamental gate, pagoda and boats on the sea. The outer design is repeated on the interior of the case, partly in copper and in black demostrating the Japanese mastery of combining various metals.
The cigarette case is marked with a 'pagoda' and STERLING.
It is 3 1/2 in. wide (cm. 9) and was bought from an Italian dealer in an Antique Market.

This item is not for sale, but most of my pieces were bought through the Internet. On the right bar of this page there are some links to silver and antique dealers websites
