A SMALL COLLECTION OF ANTIQUE SILVER AND OBJECTS OF VERTU

silver baby rattle - Italy

Italian antique silver baby rattle this is a silver baby rattle made in Italy by silversmith Pietro Formosa, Via d'Olivelli 71 - Palermo
This rattle was obtained about 1950 by a beginning 19th century die with the ancient silversmith's monogram PF and '800' in 'riliev' (relief). It has also the 1944/1970 lozenge hallmark '3 PA'.
The rattle is 2 3/4 in. long (cm. 6,5) and was bought from an Italian dealer at an Antique Fair.

This item is not for sale, but most of my pieces were bought through the Internet. On the right bar of this page there are some links to silver and antique dealers websites
