Samuel Meriton
1748 this silver caster has plain baluster body and acorn finial. It was made by Samuel Meriton I, London, 1748.
It is fully marked under the base. It has also some scratched numbers, representing the weight of the item (this practice is called "scratch weight").
The caster is 5 1/4 in. (cm. 13,5) high and was bought by a U.K. dealer throughthe Internet.
